Any family with children in kindergarten or above who needs assistance may apply.

To keep the process fair and objective, factors such as income, family circumstances, and the cost of living in the Fredericksburg region are reviewed by a third party, FACTS Grant & Aid. Each request is then reviewed by the FCS Financial Aid Committee, which makes the final award decision. The committee reads every family’s letter individually, because numbers alone do not always tell the full story.
