In our Lower School, FCS uses a variety of Biblically-based curriculum programs to include, but not limited to: Abeka, Purposeful Design, Shirley English, and Bob Jones. Each year, our Curriculum team evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of these curriculum programs as well as the needs of our students, and develops an in-house curriculum that combines multiple resources to create the highest quality educational program possible. For specific information about course offerings, learning objectives, and graduation requirements for our Upper School, please review our Academic Handbook.
We have various bus routes available for transporting students to and from our school facilities. We offer bus service to and from the west side of Fredericksburg, Stafford, and the King George area. We also offer bus-shuttle service from some closer locations to the school. Bus transportation typically is full and results in wait lists. A number of our parents choose to carpool. We help to configure a list for those interested.
For more information, please see the bus routes schedule, or call our Transportation Coordinator at (540) 373-5355 ext. 139.
Carpool Lists are available in August before the start of the next academic year.
Current FCS families can obtain a copy of the current carpool list at any school office. Carpool lists are updated each August and are available no later than the first day of school.
FCS uses the FACTS SIS Parent Alert System to instantly inform families of school closings and delays (through phone, email, etc.). In order to make sure you receive notifications that may effect your child, we ask that you update any contact information in your FACTS SIS Family Portal account. Once your student is accepted, you will create a FACTS SIS Family Portal account as a parent.
Private tours are available year-round. Group tours and open houses are available at select times. We would love to show you our facilities and classrooms as well as answer any of your questions. To arrange a tour, please click here to schedule.
