At Fredericksburg Christian School, we believe your teen will change communities and corners of the world, and we want to help them on their way. Below, you’ll find a brief overview of what we offer, including:
Academics that Prepare
Our challenging academic program integrates Christian values into the curriculum to focus on the whole student. We help teens define their God-given talents and academic abilities as they consider their strengths and the ways they learn best. College-preparatory programs, AP courses, and dual enrollment classes allow each student to be supported and motivated as they grow academically. A strong technology program prepares students for real world challenges while our inspiring Fine Arts program encourages creative expression.
As an FCS high schooler, your teen will:
- Develop a strong mind and Christ-centered values
- Be challenged academically and spiritually
- Prepare for the next stage of life
- Establish a love for learning
Leaders who Serve
Our teachers build intentional, appropriate relationships with students that allow them to speak God’s truth into their lives. Service-learning opportunities help each teen develop a greater understanding of God’s mission in this world and how they fit into His plan. Chapel, Operation Christmas Child, and regional and international missions are just a few ways FCS teens live out their faith as they develop leadership skills.
Athletics that Honor
Our competitive athletics program isn’t an extracurricular add-on — it’s a program purposefully built on Christian values. As FCS student-athletes grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, they become outstanding leaders in their homes, churches, and communities. Each of our 16 high school sports teams are equipped and encouraged by a talented and dedicated coaching staff that expect and nurture Christ-like character on and off the field.
- 70 Conference Championships
- 2 State Titles
- 16 High School Sports Teams
A Personalized Roadmap for What’s Next
Our college-preparatory program prepares students for competitive college admissions by developing individual God-given abilities and keeping teens focused on the future God has for them.
As a freshman, your teen will meet with a guidance counselor to walk through a helpful college and career planning process so they know what to expect in high school. An emphasis is placed on grades and transcripts and the importance of making the most of their time over the next four years.
Sophomores continue to meet individually with guidance counselors to ensure they’re on track for their academic and career goals. In addition, they have the option to take the PSAT to prepare for the SAT exam (taken junior year).
Junior year can be exciting and challenging as your teen defines and refines their plan for college and career. To support their efforts, our guidance counselor will meet with your teen to specifically discuss programs that meet their interests. Your junior will be able to meet with visiting college representatives, attend workshops on college financial planning, and continue to get college-ready with AP courses.
It’s time for college applications! As a senior, your teen will receive support during this process from our guidance counselor who will continue to meet and discuss programs that best meet their interests. They will also be able to meet with additional college representatives and take workshops on college financial planning as they prepare for what’s to come after graduation.

About six years ago we were blessed with the opportunity to send our kids to FCS. At that time our two oldest children transitioned from public school and simply put, saying they thrived is an understatement. The Christian environment and learning experience was life changing. Our youngest child has attended since kindergarten. We are so grateful to God for the FCS community and honored to be part of it.”

A Safe Place to Learn and Grow
Strong academics, extracurriculars, and college prep will ensure your teen can grow their interests and skills at Fredericksburg Christian. But as important as these are, we realize there is another area that is even more important to you and your family — safety. We have made significant investments to keep our students physically and emotionally safe.
Here are some of the ways we build a healthy school culture and make learning safe:
- We employ a full-time safety and security officer to keep our buildings safe.
- Our campus is divided into Lower and Upper schools so that your child can learn in an age-appropriate environment tailored to their unique needs.
- Our staff model Christ-like behavior in their professional and personal lives, helping teens see and understand how good choices are made.
