Alumni Update and Business Spotlight
Nicole (Frain) Thomas ‘01
Owner, Family Hope Solutions
After graduation from Fredericksburg Christian School in 2001, Nicole attended Christopher Newport University for her undergraduate degree and then immediately began teaching students with autism in Stafford County. Nicole earned her Master’s degree in Special Education during her time teaching. She then went on to complete her graduate level certification in Behavior Analysis and has worked as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst with children on the autism spectrum and other related developmental disorders since 2012.
Nicole’s business, Family Hope Solutions provides ABA (applied behavior analysis) services to adults and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disorders from age 2-60. Family Hope Solutions grew out of witnessing the need for trauma-informed ABA therapy in the foster care and adoption community as well as the need for quality, person-centered, and hope-filled treatment for adults with special needs. Her heart for Family Hope Solutions is to treat each person as an individual and to give valuable care that improves the quality of life for each client and their family.
Nicole is a mom to five children, Olivia (12), Blake (9), Annabelle (6), Kaitlyn (3) and Delaney (18 months). The oldest four are currently attending FCS! She and her husband Matthew have been married for 13 years. She attended Fredericksburg Christian School herself from first grade through her senior year. A fun fact about her is that she and her son both shared the same first grade teacher at FCS, Mrs. Branch!
