Our values set us apart.
Fredericksburg Christian School was founded by servant leaders – people that followed Christ’s example, and led their team with a heart for others and an attitude of service. That same passion for leadership and character, drives our staff and faculty today. Two of our four core values are to be servant leaders, and to uphold integrity and transparency. From our invested teachers, to our strong athletics program, to our vibrant fine arts offerings, we’re educating Christian leaders for life.
Strong Academics
We keep classes small. With an average of 18 to 20 students in each class, teachers have the opportunity to mentor every child. Lessons are hands-on and infused with technology. Our graduates go to college – more than 95% in fact. Our students consistently beat the national average in SAT scores. We also offer thirteen AP courses, and encourage students to challenge themselves. Plus, our Leadership Institute allows students to grow and focus on the skills necessary for college and beyond.
Mentor Teachers
Our teachers are exceptional – and not just because they many hold advanced degrees. They are exceptional because they are invested in their students. They pray with them and lead them toward success. With genuine dedication, the average tenure is seven years. Representing sixty-eight different churches across the region, our teachers exemplify the non-denominational, Christ-centered environment of FCS. Students are mentored and shown how to fall in love with God.
Character Building
As an organization that represents over 166 churches, we find unity in Christ. Our Biblical beliefs anchor our decisions, both large and small. Weekly chapels provide a time of worship and teaching. It’s from a Christian perspective that we teach students how to think for themselves, and ask the important questions. Our parent-teacher partnership also allows teachers to enforce the values being taught at home. Our graduates leave with more than a diploma; they step out into the world with character, integrity, and compassion. They step out as leaders.

Teachers Tell their FCS Story
“We know that what we are doing is not just teaching bible class. It’s allowing the students to go out and live their lives for Christ.”
We are teaching the students about the Word of God. It’s not just a career. It’s our lives. We are called to do this by God and the opportunity we have to share the gospel, to teach others is the greatest calling we could ever have.
