My favorite memory from my mission trip was:
At Los Gozosos and hanging out with the kids. I mostly loved it because I found my passion for the special needs community.
Talking to the children and caretakers at Casa Shalom.
Getting to see how much work we accomplished by the end of the trip.
Definitely seeing how happy it made the people we were serving.

I would encourage my friends to go on a mission trip because…
It gives you this feeling as if you know you just helped someone out. You know you made an impact on someone’s life and you can’t help but give God the glory.
It opens up your heart and your eyes to the rest of the world and it makes it so we are not just focused on ourselves.
It was such a humbling trip to go on. It gave me perspective about how truly blessed I am.
God will push you outside of your comfort zone in order to teach you more about Him and yourself.
