Tommy Parke ‘03

Tommy - FCS Alumni

Tommy graduated from Liberty University with Bachelors of Science in Religion with Concentrations in Biblical and Pastoral Studies in 2007. He then moved to Miami to be the Student Ministry Director at Christ Fellowship Miami. Tommy met his wife, Kristin, in 2008 and married her at 12:00 p.m. on September, 10, 2011.

In May of 2012, Tommy was ordained into ministry and in the fall of 2013 he joined the staff at Oasis Church of South Florida as the Leadership Development Pastor. In 2015, Kristin graduated with an MBA from Florida Atlantic University (FAU) and Tommy began a Church Planting Residency at Oasis Church. He is set to graduate with his M.Div from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary this spring.

Also this spring, Oasis Church will be announcing the launch of his upcoming church plant campaign #ForMiami to plant City Church Miami. The mission and vision for City Church Miami is to love God, love others and love the world by making disciples from the city with the Gospel for the cities of the world (formiami.org, citychurchmiami.org).

Christine Paquette ‘09

Christine - FCS Alumni

In March 2016, Christine came back from spending two years working in Thailand at the Fountain of Life Women’s Center in Pattaya (March 2014-March 2016). At Fountain of Life Women’s Center they assist women working in the sex industry in Pattaya. She taught women working in Pattaya English and created meaningful relationships with them. She is currently a Crisis Responder with Rappahannock Council Against Sexual Assault.

In June 2017, Christine will go to Swaziland with the Peace Corps for 27 months to work as a Community Health Outreach Agent focusing on daily health and HIV/AIDS.

Erin Storms Blair ‘10

Erin married Jordan Blair after they met at JMU InterVarsity when she was on leadership. They now live in Charlottesville, VA. Erin is now a Graphic Designer at The Scout Guide—where they produce a print publication which focuses on premiering the best local artists and entrepreneurs in over 60 cities across the US.

Abigail Pressley ‘10

Abigail - FCS Alumni

Abigail graduated in 2014 Summa Cum Laude from the University of Mobile with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a minor in Business. Additionally, she graduated in December of 2016 with Honors from the University of Mobile with her Masters of Business Administration.

Abigail has been employed full time at the University as the Assistant to the Dean of the Alabama School of the Arts since her graduating in 2014. She has also been the Director of the Miss University of Mobile pageant, which is a Miss Alabama/Miss America Preliminary. Abigail will marry her best friend, Benjamin Butler, in spring 2017 and relocate to Nashville, TN.

Andrea Kuliasha ‘14 and Chris Jones ‘14

FCS Alumni

Andrea is finishing up her third year at Virginia Tech studying Biological Systems Engineering with minors in Biomedical Engineering and Music. She is also completing her second year in undergraduate research in the School of Biomedical Engineering and Sciences. Her project there focuses on modeling the complex vascular dynamics of grade IV brain cancers.

Andrea was recently named the 2017 Patricia C. Perna Honors Odyssey Fellow by the Honors College; this fellowship will allow her to continue this research into her final year at school while also working with patients at a local hospice center, combining her love for research and for serving others.

She will be interning this summer at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland where she will be studying drug delivery systems for invasive brain cancers. Her husband-to-be, Chris Jones ‘14 is also finishing his third year at Virginia Tech, continuing his studies in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. He has been involved with an undergraduate design team building submarines for three years now and is preparing for their national competition this summer.

Chris will be interning this summer with Cummins in Columbus, Indiana, where he will work in the Controls and Fuel Systems departments with common rail diesel engines. “We are very excited about our engagement and all of the exciting things ahead for us–God is so faithful! We are humbled by the opportunities that have been placed in front of us and hope to be good stewards of the gifts we have received. In this busy season of our lives, we are constantly reminded that we serve a big God who holds all our plans in the palm of His hand!”

Kristen Burns ‘15

Kristen is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Animation at Regent University.
