2019-2020 Rates

Application and Enrollment Fees

New Students
The application and evaluation fee for each new student is $100.

Returning Students – Last year for re-enrollment and deposit. (See Continuous Enrollment for new procedure.)
The re-enrollment deposit for each returning student will go toward their cost of tuition.

If received on or before February 28, 2019 – $75/ current student
If received March 1, 2019 or later – $175/ current student

Note:  These fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Continuous Enrollment

Beginning with the 2019-2020 school year, FCS will operate under a continuous enrollment policy. This model eliminates the task of annual re-enrollment and also abolishes the $75.00 annual re-enrollment deposit. We believe this streamlined process is more efficient, as the majority of our families re-enroll every year. Continuous enrollment also allows us to better plan and prepare staff and resources for each coming school year.

Upon enrollment (or, re-enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year), FCS families will sign a Continuous Enrollment Contract. This contract secures your student(s) place at FCS until graduation and assumes re-enrollment for each upcoming school year. Should you elect to decline re-enrollment for an upcoming school year, you must notify in writing, the Admissions Office (admissions@gofcs.org) no later than March 31 of that year. After that date, a $500.00 withdrawal fee per student will be assessed.

Continuous Enrollment FAQ

What is continuous enrollment?
Continuous Enrollment is a more efficient way to conduct the re-enrollment process. It is an agreement to keep your student(s) continuously enrolled at FCS until they graduate (unless you notify the school of your intention to withdraw your student by the annual deadline, March 31.)

Why has FCS adopted a continuous enrollment policy?
–  This streamlined policy eliminates the task of annual re-enrollment and discontinues the annual enrollment deposit.
–  Once enrolled, a student’s spot is reserved through their graduation date.
–  Continuous enrollment allows FCS to better plan and allocate staff and resources for each coming school year.

What if I do not intend to enroll my student for the upcoming school year?
– You must notify the FCS Admissions Office (admissions@gofcs.org) of your intention to withdraw for the coming school year no later than March 31 of any given year.
–  The email must include each student’s name, grade, and reason for withdrawal.
–  A penalty of $500.00 per student will be assessed in the event a student is withdrawn for the coming school year after the March 31 deadline.

Are there any exceptions to this policy?
A waiver of the withdrawal fee will be considered on a case-by-case basis in the event of the following:
–  the family moves out of the area
–  FCS determines that it is unable to meet your student’s educational needs
–  Variable Tuition Assistance contingencies

When will continuous enrollment go into effect?
Continuous enrollment will begin upon re-enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year for current students. Students enrolling for the first time for 2019-2020 (or later) will automatically be included in continuous enrollment.
Please note that our current families must re-enroll one last time for the 2019-2020 school year. As in years past, there is a $75.00/student deposit due no later than February 28, 2019, and a late fee of $100/student will be assessed for current students who are re-enrolled after the February 28, 2019 deadline. Beginning with the 2020-2021 school year, annual re-enrollment (including the $75.00 deposit) will be discontinued.

Miscellaneous Fees

Miscellaneous items that may be purchased apart from tuition and fees include: PE uniforms, student pictures, and yearbooks.

Payment Options

We offer families two methods to pay their school bill:

  • Annual Pay

    July 1st Payment Discount Plan -  Payment in full of all tuition and fees on or before July 1, 2019. Payment can be made by check directly to FCS or by credit/debit card, through the FACTS management company. There is no payment plan fee for a one-time payment through FACTS but you will be charged a 2.85% convenience fee.  FACTS payment plans must be set up no later than June 5, 2019.

  • FACTS Monthly Payment Plan

    Payments can be made by ACH or by credit/debit card. FACTS charges an annual fee of $45 for monthly payment plans and there will be a 2.85% convenience fee charged by FACTS for credit/debit card payments.

    10 Monthly Payments – July through April with no payment in May or June
    12 Monthly Payments – July through June

Advanced payment of tuition and fees is due by July 1, 2019.  Monthly payments must be made through the FACTS Management Company.  Enrollment in the FACTS plan must be completed by June 5, 2019.  Families whose students are accepted for enrollment after July 1, 2019 must pay their balance in full or enroll in the FACTS monthly payment plan within 7 days of acceptance.

Withdrawal Policies

Should you elect to decline re-enrollment for the upcoming school year, you must notify, in writing, the Admissions Office (admissions@gofcs.org) no later than March 31 of that year. The email must include each student’s name, grade and reason for disenrolling. Each student who withdraws between March 31 and the first day of school will:

  • Be assessed a withdrawal fee of $500 (per student). Deposits and fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

Each student who withdraws on or after the first day of school will:

  • Be assessed one month’s tuition for each month or portion of a month in attendance.
  • Be assessed a withdrawal fee of $500 (per student). Deposits and fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

* A waiver of the withdrawal fee will be considered on a case-by-case basis in the event of moving out of the area, Variable Tuition Assistance contingencies, or if FCS determines that it can no longer meet your student’s educational needs.

School records and transcripts may be held until all balances have been paid in full.

Discounts

Multiple Child Discount

Families with two or more children will receive a tuition discount for each child as follows:
(Student in the highest grade level is considered the first child.)

2nd Child – 10%           |  3rd child – 20%           |  4th Child – 25%

Alumni Discount

All children of FCS alumni – in grades Pre-K3 (5-day) through 12th grade – will qualify for a $600 discount after all other applicable discounts have been applied.  To qualify for this discount at least one parent must have graduated from Fredericksburg Christian School after attending for at least two years (K5 – 12th grade). Only one alumni discount per child is allowable. (Maximum – $600 per child)

Advance Payment Discount

A 1.75% tuition discount only applies if tuition and fees are paid in full on or before July 1, 2019.

Shuttle Bus Fees

Bus Fees for students riding one of the three Bus Routes on an occasional basis will be $10 one way per student or $20 two ways per student per day for the 2019-2020 school year.

Please note that shuttle bus fees are per family, per route used.  The fee is the same whether your child(ren) ride one-way or two-ways.  If your child rides on one of the regular bus routes and needs to ride the shuttle bus as well, there will be no additional charge for the shuttle.

Bus fees for students riding the Shuttle Bus on an occasional basis will be $7 one way per student or $14 two ways per student per day for the 2019-2020 school year.

If gasoline prices continue to rise, these fees may need to be adjusted.
