Families We Serve

Military Families

Welcome to Fredericksburg Christian School! We are a private Christian school in Fredericksburg, Virginia, serving students in preschool, kindergarten, elementary school, middle school, and high school. We welcome veterans and currently-serving military families stationed at nearby bases, including Dahlgren and Marine Corps Base Quantico.

We recognize military families have unique needs and concerns. You might be looking for a private school that can accommodate families who have students transferring in (or out) during the school year. Maybe you need a school that offers personalized attention because your child might need either extra help or coursework that’s a little more challenging. Or you’re interested in belonging to a school community, one where you can volunteer while your child is busy learning and growing. If you’re looking for one or all of those things in the Fredericksburg area, you’re in the right place.

FCS Students Honor Veteran Grandfather

When FCS staff learned that a student’s grandfather would be on an honor flight from Florida landing in Washington DC in October, they got to work making cards for him while the honor band secured a spot at the airport to play in his honor. 1. Excellent academics. FCS offers an academically rigorous curriculum that prepares students for their path beyond high school.  Several FCS graduates receive service scholarships and attend some of the best colleges and universities in the country.
  2. Value alignment. Our community and culture reflect our Christian beliefs, reinforcing what you teach at home. We honor our country and service men and women who serve through prayer and the pledge of allegiance each morning.
  3. Personalized attention. Small class sizes give teachers the space and freedom to identify and assist with student needs, including helping them adjust to a new school.
  4. Partnering with parents. We’re in this together.  FCS parents can expect excellent communication between home and school.
  5. Opportunities for enrichment. Extracurricular activities, including athleticsfine artsspiritual lifeservice opportunities, and student clubs and organizations allow students to grow into well-rounded individuals.

“When relocating to Fredericksburg in 2020, finding a great school for our daughter was a top priority. We are so thankful that we were led to FCS. From the moment of reading the following statement on the website, we knew FCS was the right school for her. The words, ‘Raising Christian leaders in an atmosphere of academic and spiritual excellence’ and ‘We serve in partnership with parents’ spoke to our hearts. Then, after reading the ‘Statement of Faith’ it confirmed our need to visit and we are so pleased with our decision to have her attend FCS. Our family has experienced God’s grace in so many ways and bringing us to FCS was just one more of his blessings. She is so happy here and I couldn’t be any more pleased with the faith filled workplace. Daily, you feel our creator’s presence and see his word in the actions of everyone here.”
