Trying to figure out if and when your child is ready to make the switch from homeschooling to attending private school can be nerve-wracking. Will they make friends who have similar beliefs and values? Will the coursework be challenging, and will teachers be supportive? It can be a lot to navigate — for parents and students.

At Fredericksburg Christian School, we provide an excellent college preparatory education for students in preschool, kindergarten, elementary school, middle school, and high school. A supportive community. At FCS, we emphasize the same Christian values you instill at home. Teachers really get to know their students, including how they learn best and what they need to excel. FCS parents enjoy excellent communication between home and school, and parents can be active members of our community by volunteering.

Intentional relationship-building. We want our new students to feel supported and comfortable. New Student Night helps them get acclimated to their classrooms, teachers, and classmates. Student buddies are assigned to new high school students to help ease them into their new environment. Upper school retreats encourage relationship building for middle and high school students. Smaller class sizes help teachers to know who is new and help introduce and acclimate them to FCS.
