Enrichment

What do you want your child’s school experience to look like? Whether it’s pursuing leadership positions, earning college credits before graduation, or shining in a competitive athletics program, you want to give them every opportunity to develop their God-given talents.

At Fredericksburg Christian School, students enjoy access to exceptional academics, electives, extracurriculars, and athletics, all in an environment that prioritizes Christian teachings and values. Students are surrounded by a nurturing community of supportive peers and mentors who encourage them to try out for a new sport or sign up for a mission trip, pushing them out of their comfort zone and into new passions, interests, or even potential career paths.

Athletics

Go Eagles! With numerous sports, including 16 varsity sports, several junior varsity sports, 12 middle school sports, and club sports such as the Fishing club, Clay Target Shooting, and eSports, FCS student athletes compete for the glory of God and practice good sportsmanship on and off the field.

Clubs and Organizations

Whether your child is interested in tinkering with the STEM Club or campaigning for change on the Student Council, there is likely a club or organization at FCS to help them further develop their skills and build their confidence. Even students in elementary school can get involved outside of school hours — grades 3-5 have opportunities to participate in robotics and coding after school.

Cultivating Relationships

Forming healthy relationships is critical, which is why we offer intentional experiences for students to form strong bonds as both peers and mentors. Each freshman is paired with a Senior Buddy to help the transition into high school. Fifth graders spend a day with the middle schoolers to help prepare them for the move to the Upper School. Middle schoolers spend time in small groups led by a teacher/mentor to talk about real life topics and apply Biblical wisdom.

Fine Arts

Music starts as early as preschool, and beginning in grade 5, students can participate in band, chorus, or orchestra. For those with a passion for performing, productions are put on every fall and spring and are open to upper school students. Several drama classes are offered as electives as well. The visual arts are explored through different mediums, including drawing, painting, and sculpture.

Spiritual Life

At FCS, Christian education doesn’t begin and end in the classroom – it’s incorporated into everything we do. Students participate in weekly chapel services, worshiping with their peers, and hearing from selected speakers. Some of the most popular clubs on campus are dedicated to particular Christian causes or values, such as Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) or Missions Team.

Student Life

On our campus, you’ll find future leaders inspiring others through the pursuit of excellence in academics, service, performances, and athletics. We are all part of a connected, Christ-centered community here. Our youngest learners start forming friendships on the playground or during circle time, while our older students are engaging with each other at sporting events, retreats, and senior trips.

Student Service

Serving others is central to FCS’s culture and community. From school-wide initiatives such as Operation Christmas Child to student organizations such as the Interact Club, our campus community regularly gives their time and talents to help others in need.

Before and After Care

Busy families need to know their child is not only taken care of, but also actively learning and participating in constructive activities. Our before and after care provides care starting as early as 6:30am and continuing until 6:00pm. Students enjoy age-appropriate activities, homework assistance, outdoor play, and snack time.

Everyone from the administration to the bus drivers has the heart of every student as their number one priority. In addition to an amazing education, starting in pre-k3, they teach the importance of manners, obedience, and self-control. They continue these lessons throughout the child’s education. I love sending my children to a school where the teachers genuinely care about them! There is no other school in the area quite like FCS!
